Spam Policy
OUR SHORT VERSION PHOLOSOPHY ON SPAM
This is really easy for us to convey:
WE NEVER SPAM! ... EVER ...
End of story.
Our Formal Spam Policy
HAVeESP and any of our owned or managed sites prohibits the use of our name(s) or services to be used in any manner associated with the transmission, distribution or delivery of any unsolicited bulk or unsolicited or un-“opted-in” commercial e-mail ("Spam").
You may not use, or infer the use our companies, sites, domains URLs or services to send spam or any other form of communication transmission to anyone at any time. There are no exceptions.
It is our policy to vigorously enforce our rights through any legal means possible against any party who fraudulently uses, attempts to use, or infers the use or relationship of any of our business names, domains, URLs, companies, trademarks, service marks or otherwise in any way in sending spam or any other communication to any party, through any means.
WE DO NOT SEND OR CONDONE SPAM in any form, through any means from us or through any third party ! We have not, do not, and will not send spam !
Web subscriptions, "E-zines" and other "bulk e-mailings" that are sent to a “known” user that is solicited or “opted-in” by that user recipient in a subscription, member type or “receiver requested” manner, are not considered “spam” by us or the industry at large. This is a policy or practice that we do not oppose as long as the recipient clearly knows the source, can respond to such in some form and can request to “un-subscribe” or otherwise control the receipt of such e-mails.
If you think you have received spam from any of our owned sites, names or companies, we can assure you that it is not from us. Please read the following on how an unrelated sender can make you believe you have received spam from a HAVeESP, Inc. owned company, partner, site or domain.
How Spammers Can Deceive You
Many "spammers" routinely try to deceive or trick the recipient into assuming that a different party has sent the offending e-mail. Spammers can hide their identity through many means.
One method is by "spoofing." Spoofing is where a different e-mail address than their own is used in the "from" line of the spam e-mail. One possible method of tracking the actual origin of the e-mail is by going to "View" then "Options" in Microsoft™ Outlook™ and reading the "Internet Headers." Although not absolute, you may be able trace the actual origin of the spam this way.
Spammers also use a method called "URL switching" to hide their identity. This method requires significant technical knowledge to determine the actual source of the spam.
Some further informative further information can be found at:
"The Responsible Net Commerce" web site
And, for our users more familiar with higher web related technical issues, please read:
“How Spammers and Scammers Hide and Confuse” at:
Third Party Spam
Although it is not our practice to knowingly link to, or accept advertising from sites we deem unacceptable for any reason including privacy or spam practices, we are not, and cannot be responsible for the privacy, spam, content or other practices & policies of any third party sites, affiliates, participants or any others who participate in various programs or links displayed on our site.
Dealing With Spam
Please, before you accuse or "report" us, or any other party for that matter, of spamming, please be sure to verify your suspicions before taking any action that might in itself be harmful to us or any innocent parties. It could impact you greatly.
CONTACT US FIRST before taking any action on your own. To report spam you think we sent or should know about please contact us. Please send, forward or attach the spam.
If you do contact other parties and wrongly accuses us of having sent you spam, those false accusations are potentially harmful to us, our sites, our partners and our business. If this is done recklessly, or without any type of reasonable investigation by you, we may deem such false accusations as constituting unlawful business libel.
We are absolutely opposed to spam and understand any receiver’s frustrations but we cannot, and will not, tolerate false accusations about our business practices. Instead, we welcome your sincere inquiries and will do our best to resolve any question or complaint we receive. Again, please send us by attachment or by forwarding any offending spam you may receive that appears to come from or in any way relate or refer us.
As a courtesy to you, and if we can, we will try to show you how the spam was sent from a party not associated with us.
If it appears that you have wrongly accused us of having sent Spam, we expect you to contact anyone with whom you may have shared that false accusation so that you may retract those statements.
It is our policy to vigorously enforce our rights through any legal means against any party who uses, attempts to use or infers the use our business names, domains, companies, trademarks, service marks or otherwise in sending spam to any party through any means.
We work very hard at gaining and maintaining our users’ trust, confidence and security. We try our best to be a 100% family friendly site. User trust is paramount to our business model. In that regard, we must, and will also vigorously enforce our rights against any party who recklessly or falsely accuses, slanders or libels us through wrongful accusation(s) to any third party(ies) involving our company, sites or business practices.
How to Find out Who Sent an Unsolicited E-mail
The law limits the information that online service providers (ISPs) can disclose about their users. However, if you've been "spammed" by someone you don't know, and want to know who sent it, do not reply to the sender nor follow any removal instructions that might be included. Instead, complain to the sender's ISP.
Every e-mail must be sent from a server. The vast majority of server administrators are responsible and do not intentionally allow their resources to be used for spamming. ISPs typically have policies prohibiting spamming through their accounts. Once they are notified that a user has been abusing an account, many ISPs will shut down the offender.
How do you find out whom to contact?
Look at the domain. This is the part after the "@" sign in an email address or the last part of the server name in a URL. Do not include anything after the "extension" (the .com - .net - .org - .biz etc.)
For example, the URL of:
http://www. anything.here.domainname.com/and/any/other /stuff/after/the/dot/com.html … … has an actual domain or URL of: "domainname.com".
Remember, many spam senders’ addresses are hidden or otherwise blocked and some are outright false or used illegally without the actual owner's knowledge or permission. However, the "full e-mail header" should contain an Internet Protocol (IP) address that corresponds to the sender's Internet Service Provider (ISP). (Follow your e-mail provider's instructions on accessing the "Full Header” to see a message's sender information.) It should look something like this:
Received: from [123.456.78.91] by . . .
The number in brackets above is the "IP" or Internet protocol address. Once you have identified the IP address, you can run a search to determine which ISP provides the sending entity with its Internet access.
One web site that can help you determine the actual computer owner that uses the IP address:
Once you know the ISP or the domain (for example, "thedomain.com"), email the entire message (including full headers) to the ISP (in most cases to abuse@thedomain dot com).
Explain your situation. The ISP may have further requirements, but this is the person or entity you need to contact.
Summary
Again, we are against spamming and NEVER engage in this practice. Spammers can use fictitious domains, links and/or redirecting characters in the 'reply to' section of an offending e-mail to try deceive people on the origin of the e-mail.
Because HAVeESP owns almost 10,000 highly relevant domain names, we are more likely to be the unwary victim of unauthorized abuse or out and out fraud. Please let us know ASAP.
We can assure you that any spam you receive is not from us or any of our owned or operated sites or domains. We do not spam, PERIOD!
Avoiding Spam
To try do avoid spam, although becoming more difficult, you should never give your e-mail address to anyone, in any form, including hand written on cards or reader replies, unless you trust that party and they clearly publish, and you have read and understand, their privacy and spam policies.
If you do not recognize the sender of any e-mail, delete it unopened. Many spammers use “tracers” to verify that the e-mail address is valid and will sell it to others. If you open it - you validate it.
Avoid shopping at or using unknown sites and/or sites that do not have clearly published privacy and/or spam policies.
In addition to the spam issues, viruses, worms and Trojan horses can also be embedded in e-mails, be careful.
For more information, see http://spam.abuse.net/userhelp/
If you have received an e-mail or spam that you think we should know about, please send it to us at “spamabuse [at] haveesp dot com”*
Do many of these e-mail addresses look funny to you?
They are, and will not work as written above.
As we said, we never spam but we cannot say that about all web users. YOU MUST Replace [at] with “@” and dot com with “.com” to make the address valid.
We apologize for the minor inconvenience but we do this to reduce spam generated by email harvesters who look at web pages electronically for the "@" symbol and sell addresses to bulk spammers.

ALWAYS REMEMBER
There is so much for children to learn on the internet … YET, there is NO SUBSTITUTE for a parent, relative or other adult's personal involvement in every child's life and learning experiences including involvement and oversight on their the use of the web!
Bob Karl,HAVeESP’s Founder & CEO
"All Children need a laptop …
… NOT a computer, a human laptop. Moms, dads, grannies and grandpas, aunts, uncles - someone to hold them, read to them teach them. Loved ones who will embrace them and pass on the experience, rituals and knowledge of a hundred previous generations. Loved ones who will pass to the next generation their expectations of them, their hopes, and their dreams."
General Colin Powell
Please don’t let your children use the web unsupervised or let them become a TV, web or game addict. Turn off the electronics and go outside and play!
